Energy consumption per capita in the U.S. 2021, by state
Alaska had the highest per capita energy consumption of any state in the United States in 2021. That year, residents and of the state consumed 931.9 million British thermal units of energy. This was more than three times the U.S. average, which stood at 294.6 million British thermal units.
